Ode to Vanity     |   home    Thursday, August 8 Thursday we were still accumulating people.  Gilly was scheduled to arrive late morning and Caly and Mikey mid-afternoon.  The plan we had made the night before was to meet at the Real Marriott and go see the National Aquarium (since Caly hates fish *l*) and Gilly would call to let us know when she got in.  So this sequence includes our trip to the aquarium (that was sad, man), a side trip over to the Washington Monument (now more correctly known as the GAPT - mike wanted me to clarify that he said GIANT American Pointy Thing, not BIG APT), collecting Gilly, lunch at the Soho Buffet, listening to the DC CD, our trip to the Kennedy Center for dinner/play/pizza appetizer, and a short regrouping after the play to make another plan. *g* group from behind at the metro group on a street corner ditto plus kitty back big plaza Cranky group Happy group juli looking at alligators a fishy (not THE Fishy) Erin, Mori, Cindra, Fox Group walking (from the front!)
