Ode to Me:

A demonstration of my web design skills using CSS, HTML, and Adobe Photoshop.

Welcome

Welcome to my vanity page, isn't it cute? It's a little bland still, but I'm working on adding color and icons to spruce it up. Don't worry, I'm a firm believer in content before fluff, however shiney and cute that fluff happens to be. If you notice something fluffy is impeding the functional value of the site (ha, I just refered to the functional value of a vanity page) please let me know. I can't promise to actually change anything, but if you never call it to my attention I guarantee it won't change.

Rambles

The day to day ramblings of, well, me. Currently I post at G-blog and Livejournal. Why should you care? I don't know, but some people seem to. I write for myself, journaling so I can remember years from now the little things that brought me so much joy or pain at the time. I write to express myself, to sort out my feelings on various subjects and address issues that have been haunting my thoughts.

"I think your rambles are worth the price of admission plus a little bit more for the guy parking the cars. They are sometimes wonderful sometimes heartbreaking, but always remarkably honest. Stop selling yourself short." - Don McGonigal

Post Cards

My postcard collection started in 1997 when a friend of mine, who spent a year in the Ukraine teaching English to school children, sent me a beautiful postcard but I didn't start collecting them until Jojo suggested everyone at FFF participate in a postcard exchange.

I was hooked.

Since then I've collected over 100 postcards from all over California, the United States, and the world. If you live in or plan on visiting some place cool (and I've got three postcards from Modesto so base your "coolness factor" on that) please consider sending me a postcard.

pictures

This page started out as a collection of pictures of me (alone and in groups) back when the only people who knew or cared that I had a website were people whom I didn't see on a regular or frequent basis. Recently it has evolved into a space to share pictures of the people and events that matter to me as well as pictures of myself.

The pictures are organized in reverse chronological order by year. Within each year (or grouping of years) pictures are organized chronologically. For some reason this reversal of order makes sense to me. When I have a lot of pictures for a given event (like my trip to Hawaii) I've created a sub-gallery to feature those pictures.
