noire is encouraging me to do some rambling right now. she's even giving me stuff i could talk about. like how we went ice skating tonight. rhodric fell on his butt. noire and cindra fell too, but i didn't get to witness that. *l*
well shucks, i guess i might as well do a full on ramble here since i don't feel like playing cards or sleeping, and those seem to be about my only options right now. *l* so even though i'm not feeling all that rambly, here we go, starting from the beginning. at least from when i arrived. i was the last of the out-of-towners to get here. fox flew in on christmas day (apparently he waited so long to buy tickets, that was the only way he could afford it. i really didn't think he'd be coming when he didn't have tickets two weeks before the trip, but dk can be very persuasive, it seems.) mori flew in on the 26th. rhodric and i both arrived on thursday the 27th. he flew into san francisco that morning and i took a bus, arriving in san jose that afternoon. brian, another of the friends from high school (any names that you don't recognize as chatters besides fox probably belong to friends of noire, dk and vel from high school. they have cool friends) picked me up at the station and took me to shellie's (er, mikel's. she comes into chat sometimes) house where i was immediately recruited for a rousing game of pictionary with mikel, dk, fox and rhodric. mori was there, too, but mori doesn't play games unless it's something like DAoC. rhodric does the funniest drawings for pictionary. they're histerical. fortunately (for him and fox, at least, they were on a team together) fox is a good guesser. i don't see how he could possibly have gotten as many correct answers as he did from rhodric's drawings. *lmao* i wish it was a paper and pencil game (we played on white boards) so we could have scanned some of his drawings. *snicker* after pictionary it was time for.....phase 10! i was acting pretty strangely at this point. i hadn't slept well or much for a couple of nights, i'd been travelling all day, and i hadn't eaten anything. i get in a very odd mood under those circumstances. i alternate between hyperactive and about to pass out on the floor. *l* about halfway through the game i turned my hand over to erin, who had come over sometime in the interim, and fell asleep on a couch. i believe that vel won that game. vel never wins. i'm not sure what happened there. *l*
hmmmm. what happened after phase 10? oh yes. i think some people went out to rent a movie. a few of us stayed behind at shellie's house. i was half asleep. i don't remember who went and who stayed, and it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, i guess. *g* at some point anna (yes, another of the high school friends) showed up. funny thing about anna. i met her when i was here over the summer. she goes to the same university as _my_ high school friend julia, and they almost roomed together last year. *l* *hums "it's a small world after all" to herself* we watched the emperor's new groove that night. i like that movie. *g* i'd seen the first half of it a few times at my job over the summer, but never got to see the ending, so it was fun to see the whole thing finally. after the movie everbody who wasn't sleeping at mikel's left. that meant everybody except mikel, fox, mori and myself. oh wait, i'm missing someone. rhodric. now why am i missing him? because while we were all watching the movie, he decided to go for a walk and not tell anybody. when people had left and we were all getting ready to go to bed, i was the only one who noticed he wasn't there. good thing, too, 'cause mikel was just about to lock up the house and go to bed. *l* bad rhodric. he showed up fairly soon after that, at least, so we didn't have time to get too worried. and that's all i'm going to say about day 1.
shall i go on to friday? can i even remember what we did that day? very much of this visit has involved napping. *lol* we're an exciting bunch. i remember there was definitely some napping going on. oh bother, i'm tired of typing. there shall be more later, very possibly not until i get home, tho. that won't be until sunday. i don't know if anyone else is planning on posting about this social. i hope it doesn't all fall on me. if it does then it's a bit of a lost cause, i'm afraid, but i'll try. *l* ta lovelies!

oh yes, and uli (and anybody else who knows what i'm talking about), it's going very well.
